somatic semantics 060
allergic
hi hello,
welcome to the sixtieth issue of somatic semantics.
04.22.23
something about the solar eclipse in aries overlapping with allergy season spilling into taurus season spilling into mercury retrograde.
04.23.23
something about the air being so dense with pollen that my lungs are now coated with residue, every single breath increasingly laborious.
something about that tiktok where a girl says she could do a line of pollen off her car + be just fine + we are not ok just breathing.
something about breathing always already being fraught, being wrapped up in this belief that an exhale will always follow an inhale will always follow an exhale until it doesn’t + somehow something inside determines the shape + length of the trajectory + we’re just along for this ride that we never wholly consented to yet every little part of us has been riding + intends to do so until the wheels fall off + have any of the wheels fallen off? because the twists + turns are getting sharper + the probability of all limbs remaining in the moving vehicle that is this body becomes less + less with every breath.
something about everything that mingles with oxygen to make you question if you really want it, if you can handle it, if you appreciate how it’s been handling you.
question(s) of the week
are you breathing (on purpose)?
where/when are you able to inhale deeply? to take in the absence of apprehension
who are you when you exhale? what allows you to release?
i leave you with solange’s jerrod:
with love + light,
nènè
